Mohamad Faizal Bin Ramli

Even though the recent pace of earnings releases has been slow, important reports that could affect market sentiment are still scheduled for the coming week. These financial figures have the potential to make a big impact on expectations, not just for specific companies but also for important industries like housing and enterprise software.

Notably, investors are eager for updates from Oracle (NYSE:ORCL), Adobe (NASDAQ:ADBE), FuelCell Energy (NASDAQ:FCEL) and Lennar (NYSE:LEN), among others.

Below is a rundown of major quarterly updates anticipated in the week of September 11 to 15:

Monday, September 11

Oracle (ORCL)

Texas-based software giant Oracle (ORCL) will post its Q1 earnings results after the market close on Monday.

ORCL shares have seen a 50% rise this year driven by its AI initiatives. Seeking Alpha’s Quant Rating system presents some doubts about further near-time upside, however, giving a Hold rating on the stock. Meanwhile, Wall Street analysts rate the stock as a Buy.

“With AI-driven demand expected to drive rapid growth of Oracle’s Gen 2 Cloud for the foreseeable future, Oracle could command even higher multiples in the near future,” writes SA author Ahan Vashi.

  • Consensus EPS Estimates: $1.15
  • Consensus Revenue Estimates: $12.47B
  • Earnings Insight: Oracle has exceeded EPS and revenue estimates in 6 of the past 8 quarters.

Also reporting: FuelCell Energy (FCEL), Casey’s General (CASY), Mission Produce (AVO), Bioceres (BIOX), Skillsoft (SKIL) and more.

Tuesday, September 12

Edgio (NASDAQ:EGIO)

InnovAge Holding (INNV) is set to announce its quarterly results on Tuesday. The provider of a healthcare platform aimed at seniors recently appointed a new CFO. Meanwhile, the firm is projected to lose $0.04 per share for the latest quarter, on revenue of about $176M.

INNV gets a Hold rating from Seeking Alpha’s Quant Rating system. While it receives high marks for profitability and momentum, the system flagged worries about growth and valuation. Wall Street analysts also give the stock a Hold rating.

Also reporting: Cognyte Software (CGNT), Altamire Therapeutics (CYTO), Evolution Petroleum (EPM) and more.

Wednesday, September 13

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store (NASDAQ:CBRL)

Cracker Barrel (CBRL) is scheduled to release its Q4 earnings results on Wednesday before the market opens.

The restaurant chain receives a Sell rating from Seeking Alpha’s Quant Rating system, due to negative EPS revisions and weak growth compared to other Consumer Discretionary stocks. Wall Street analysts also view the stock cautiously, giving it a Hold recommendation.

  • Consensus EPS Estimates: $1.64
  • Consensus Revenue Estimates: $842.4M
  • Earnings Insight: Cracker Barrel has beaten EPS and revenue estimates in just 3 of the past 8 quarters.

Also reporting: Rev Group (REVG), SelectQuote (SLQT), Semtech (SMTC), Burford Capital (BUR), Ocean Power Technologies (OPTT) and more.

Thursday, September 14

Adobe (ADBE)

Adobe (ADBE) will update investors about its Q3 performance on Thursday after the bell. Following upbeat Q2 results, the company guided Q3 revenue in the range of $4.83B to $4.87B and adjusted EPS between $3.95 and $4. Analysts anticipate EPS and revenue to grow Y/Y in the quarter.

With 69% growth so far this year amid generative AI hype, shares have significantly outperformed the broader market index’s growth of 16%.

Amid the considerable gains this year, Seeking Alpha’s Quant rating system downgraded the stock from Strong Buy to Hold only days before earnings, citing an unfavorable valuation. Wall Street analysts maintain a Buy recommendation.

“Adobe has shown financial strength and consistent growth, with a strong subscription-based revenue model and profitability metrics, making it an attractive long-term investment opportunity,” suggests SA author AlmaStreet Capital.

  • Consensus EPS Estimates: $3.97
  • Consensus Revenue Estimates: $4.87B
  • Earnings Insight: Adobe has exceeded EPS in all of the past 8 straight quarters and revenue estimates in 6 of those reports.

Also reporting: Copart (CPRT), Lennar (LEN) (LEN.B), Mitek (MITK), LightPath (LPTH), eGain (EGAN), High Tide (HITI) and more.

Friday, September 15

There are no big earnings scheduled.
